Today is the feast day of St. Therese of Lisieux. I just learned that she is the patron saint of missionaries, and so it is an especially meaningful feast day for me as I currently serve as a missionary in Peru. I also want to give a shout out to Therese of the Divine Peace Inclusive Community in St. Louis since Therese is their primary patron saint as well. Praying for everyone at Therese and also all missionaries around the world today. Below is a beautiful prayer by St. Therese of Lisieux that I find particularly poignant for me in trusting I am exactly where I am meant to be. Enjoy
May today there be peace within.
May you trust in God that you are exactly
where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given you.
May you be content knowing that you are a child of God.

The title comes from the Antonio Machado poem "Caminante no hay camino" which tells how there is no road, the road is made by walking (se hace camino al andar). Blessings on the journey! Spiritual Reflections
Below are some of my favorite spiritual reflections from one of our sessions on prayer and communication with God. Enjoy!
BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

(Psalm 46:10)
Exodus 3:14 reveals the name God gives to Moses: I am who am. If you look at the verb tense, it is in the present. I am. God is, here and now. We know God when we live in the present moment, when we are in touch with the fullness of Now.
"Prayer, then, is not primarily saying words or thinking thoughts. It is rather a stance. It is a way of living in the Presence! It is a way of living in awareness of the Presence, of enjoying the Presence."
- this reminds me of 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing"
An excerpt from Earthspirit by Michael Dowd:
"Humanity itself can be understood as the capacity of the planet for conscious awareness or reflexive thought. That is, the human enables Earth to reflect on itself and on the divine Mystery out of which it has come and in which it exists. ... We allow nature, for the first time, to begin to appreciate its own staggering beauty and feel its own magnificent splendor. We humans are the means by which Earth has freedom, choice, and spiritual awareness."
